Recent Developments
Aside from our company being based out of Egg Harbor township; both the owner of our company Richard Rockelmann and Matt Watts (blog writer) graduated from Egg Harbor Township High School ; Rich graduated in 2008 and myself in 2011. Kevin (Rich’s second in command and overseer of booking and event coordination) graduated from Holy Spirit, right up the road from E.H.T and the vast majority of our staff hails from the Atlantic county area. That being said, a great deal of pride and appreciation has always gone into executing our local performances at the E.H.T adolescent and middle schools which he have been booked for consistently for many years now. Recently Rich, Kev, and I have been in consistent contact with the Egg Harbor Township Renaissance Committee as well as the parents whom aide in hosting the events such as dances. After a face to face meeting with the parents and Richard himself attending the staff meeting for the school district, we have solidified our relationship with the local schools and will be continuing on together for many years to come. On November 2nd Starshield hosted our first home coming for the high school which I will be blogging more about soon. I truly don’t believe it could have gone any better than it did. I’ve never enjoyed performing more with the family and Rich whom doesn’t find many events overly amusing, found himself having a blast(self proclaimed). Between jumping around, dance battles on the dancefloor, illegal crowd surfing we had to discourage, and the general mob-like mentality we love to invoke at our larger events. After blasting the crowd with our co2 cannons and hurling waves of Starshield t-shirts and free merchandise into the crowd, we found ourselves in the mist of a perfect night to be an entertainer! We are currently working on booking the Egg Harbor Township prom and hope to have as much fun as we did the other day. There’s nothing better then coming home and crushing a performance and a heartfelt thank you goes out to the E.H.T Highschool Event committee for opening the door!
