Performing in you hometown is awesome for so many reasons but performing at your old high school is really something else. Between the familiar faces now running different aspects of the school and all the familiarity associated with the nostalgic sights and smells of the gymnasium; memory lane was inevitably going to be strolled down. The kids seem super familiar as if the same type of people are continuously generated and recycled through the school. I saw what would have been my section of the dance floor where the athletes and the self-proclaimed cool kids were acting up. I felt that same familiar melting pot vibe that I appreciated soo much coming from a catholic school when i arrived at ehths. The kids dancing styles were hilarious, plenty of outgoing introverts and attention seeking dancers which i enjoyed being apart of in my day. And their song requests reflected the same energy we used to have which leaves me feeling pretty proud of our school. We brought three djs and everyone picked at least on song that the kids freaked out too and our party motivators decided to work for free for the most part because they wanted to have some fun in our backyard knowing Rich wasn’t going to pull any punches with the equipment we brought. Blasting the crowd with co2 and shaking the gymnasium floor with our new Bose Subwoofers, throwing five parties worth of free t-shirts and giveaways into the crowd as well as glow sticks was all well within range of our budget. I Love E.H.T now more then i ever did and i can’t wait until our next event!
