Richard, the founder of Starshield Entertainment, began his journey into the entertainment sector during his time at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), where he studied Information Security and Forensics—a striking contrast to the world of entertainment. Richard's dive into the industry was accidental; after responding to a DJ gig advertisement in 2008, he mistakenly missed the interview. Given a second chance, he rapidly rose to be one of the most sought-after DJs in the company. In 2012, drawing inspiration from a fraternity symbol, Richard launched Starshield Entertainment, initially intending it to be a modest venture to offset student loans. However, the burgeoning demand transformed Starshield. Today, the company boasts 15 dedicated employees, manages an impressive 65 events a month during peak season, and, as Richard emphasizes, remains committed to delivering unparalleled entertainment at affordable rates.
