WHAT SHOULD I CONSIDER WHEN PICKING MY SWEET 16 DJ AND PLAYLIST!?

There is nearly a limitless amount of directions one could head in when imagining a sweet sixteen vibe. And even more-so, a quite literally limitless number of directions to head in regard to music selection. Hiring Djs whom specialize in specific genres of music and create their own playlist without outside influence may be expensive as well as limiting in regard to request wiggle room. For example; if you like current rock, i,e fall out boy as well as hiphop artist such as cardi b you will likely have a had time finding a genre specific Dj to cater to such requests on the fly although they are quite common. More often then not the djs you come across tend to be”jack of all trades” djs due to the general lack of affinity for turning down gigs or money. J.A.T. djs are typically more open to song requests and will cater toward your requests regardless of music fluidity or their in-deft understanding of the genre and how to mend the songs together in a manner that entertains the crowd. In order to aid these J.A.T. djs in making your event unfold the way you envisioned, there are a few things you should consider prior to sending a playlist with 100 songs you like with no particular direction.

1) Who is coming to the party? ——— Parents? Little Kids? Mostly sixteen year olds and young adults? A mixture of many age groups is quite common, let alone individual musical preferences relative to the ages. All of which needs to be taken into account prior to selecting forty hardcore unedited Early 2000’s rap songs

2) What do my friends like to listen to? ——— If your dancing the night away while your friends surf their phones waiting for their parents or their ride to come get them you may have not casted a broad enough net in regard to musical selection. No matter how empathetic or in-tune one claims to be in terms of music, everyone likes different things and you never know what people like to dance to until you play it or ask them.

3) What do I like to listen to? — — — If there your friends and family you personally should be a decent enough judge for some of the songs and it is your party so the bulk of the music should be catered toward your preference but please don’t get overly specific or carried away. Track 14 from the N’sync album was surely awesome back in the day but it may only be awesome to you now and kill the dance-floor.
