Catering ... Candy Table? ... Dessert Table!
Food is as important as it needs to be at your event. That means that if you want people to enjoy the food at the party you should allot a decent amount of resources to procure and prepare it. For example Sweet Sixteens have a tendency to have for finger foods and less three course meals due to the lack of importance of feeding the people for them to have a good time. The food, candy, and drinks that are at the party are another aspect of the entertainment and sometimes can overshadow other aspects of the event. If the food is the main attraction or the most memorable aspect of the event you may have to tip your cap to the cook and the caters but the entertainment should always be the most memorable in my opinion.
A well placed and fully stocked candy table is typically atleast a photo trap and at most it will be one of the crowning jewels of your event. The dessert table is certainly a must if the desserts aren’t being served to the tables directly.
Many venues offer catering services at relatively affordable prices yet checking the reviews in regard to the quality of the venues options and potentially trying them prior is ideal. If you have a specific feel you are looking for that is outside of the venues capacity then outsourcing catering is always an option and those prices vary.
